ADC Accuses Tinubu Of Authoritarian Rule
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of steering Nigeria toward authoritarian rule.
The party based its claim on the continued detention of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, which it described as a threat to democratic principles and civil liberties.
According to the ADC, the situation raises concerns about respect for the rule of law and political tolerance in the country.
The party warned that prolonged detention of political figures could undermine public confidence in democratic institutions.
The criticism adds to growing political tension as parties and stakeholders position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
There has been no immediate official response from the Federal Government regarding the allegation.
