ADC Faction Storms INEC For Recognition
A faction of the African Democratic Congress led by Nafiu Bala protested at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja, demanding official recognition.
The group arrived with supporters and a lawmaker, insisting their leadership remains valid.

The protesters accused a rival camp linked to David Mark of trying to take control of the party against its constitution.
They urged the electoral body to follow due process and respect internal rules guiding leadership selection.
During the demonstration, the group maintained that only members who meet the party’s requirements should hold leadership positions.
They warned against what they described as attempts to impose control on the party from outside its established structure.
INEC officials received the protest and assured the group that their complaints would be reviewed.
The development comes amid a deepening leadership crisis within the party, with rival factions pushing for recognition ahead of the next election cycle.
