ADC Takes On Tinubu Over Electoral Law
The African Democratic Congress on Thursday declared it would begin nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of weakening trust in the electoral process after signing the amended Electoral Act into law.
Party leaders said the decision to endorse the changes has raised concerns about transparency and fairness in future polls. They argued that the new provisions could affect public confidence in how elections are conducted.
According to the ADC, the focus now is to engage voters across the country and build momentum before the next national vote.
The party maintained that Nigerians must remain alert and involved in safeguarding the integrity of the electoral system.
It added that its mobilisation drive will target grassroots communities, with the aim of strengthening participation and preparing supporters for what it described as a crucial electoral contest in 2027.
