The brother of late actress Allwell Ademola has tendered a public apology to Iyabo Ojo after the backlash that followed his earlier remarks made shortly after his sister’s death.
In the days after Allwell passed on, her brother had openly criticized some of her colleagues for sharing her photos online, questioning their support for her while she was alive. He mentioned several names, including Iyabo Ojo and Lateef Adedimeji, alleging that despite how much his sister supported them, they rarely featured her in their movies.
Iyabo Ojo later responded, explaining that she supported the late actress during her early journey into film production and directing, countering the claims made against her.
A new video that has since gone viral, recorded at Allwell Ademola’s Service of Songs, showed her brother publicly apologizing to Iyabo Ojo. He clarified that he never insulted her and expressed regret over how his words were perceived.
The emotional moment saw him almost prostrating before Iyabo, who immediately asked him to stand up and embraced him, drawing applause from those present.
