Army Major, Soldiers Killed In Borno Attack
A Nigerian Army Major, three soldiers and a local hunter have been killed in a terrorist attack in Borno State.
The incident reportedly occurred during a confrontation with insurgents in a troubled area of the state.
Sources said the troops were engaged in an operation when they came under heavy attack. The clash led to casualties among the security team and the supporting hunter.
Security forces are said to have responded with reinforcement as efforts continue to stabilise the area.
Borno has remained a hotspot of insurgent activity despite ongoing military operations.
