Atiku Demands Answers Over ADC Attack
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for an independent investigation after the secretariat of the African Democratic Congress was set on fire in Rivers State.
The incident happened in Ubima, a community in Ikwerre Local Government Area, where the party’s office was reportedly burnt in the early hours of Friday.
Atiku said authorities must find those behind the attack and ensure they face justice.
He warned that failing to investigate the incident could encourage more violence against opposition figures and their property.
According to him, the safety of opposition members should be guaranteed under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi also reacted, revealing that the building was destroyed shortly before a party registration event in the area.
He urged supporters to remain calm while security agencies track down those responsible for the attack.
