Atiku, Obi And Other Leaders Storm INEC In Protest
Top opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and David Mark, led a protest in Abuja on Wednesday under the banner of ‘Occupy INEC’.
The march drew attention as prominent political figures gathered to challenge the conduct of the electoral body.
Also present were Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Dino Melaye, among others. Their presence gave the protest a strong political weight as different blocs within the opposition came together.
The demonstration was organised by the African Democratic Congress to express concerns over the actions of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Protesters accused the commission of bias, claiming its recent decisions favour certain interests.
The rally reflects growing tension ahead of future elections, with opposition figures calling for fairness and neutrality in the electoral process.
The protest signals a broader push by political actors seeking to influence how electoral matters are handled in the country.
