According to Naira Marley, Mohbad made his own decisions despite being signed under him. He naira marley only suggested, Mohbad decided.

And their deal was 50/50. Naira Marley provides all resources, they share the profit 50%-50% for 4 albums.

Mohbad was allowed to pick his own manager. Which later became a problem.

2yrs later — Naira Marley finally shares his own side of the story, his relationship with Mohbad and their business; with WhatsApp, Snapchat videos, audios and legal documentations.

I’m going to take your through the video, but in txts.

Naira started by talking about how he had lived in the UK all his life, had kids and have been doing his thing there. Until 2017 when he released IssaGoal and it became an instant smash hit.

So he came to Nigeria for the first time in a very long time to shoot videos. Went back to the UK, released Japa. And it was another smash hit.

In 2019, he returned to Nigeria again, this time he was already a superstar, he couldn’t go out openly anymore, show bookings were overwhelming both within Africa and overseas.

He became a menace in the entertainment industry, all the songs he released in 2019 were all hits. From Am I a Yahoo Boy to Opotoyi to Soapy for Bad Influence.

According to him, he was making so much money. Yet he didn’t have any property to his name in Nigeria. Although his parents had, but he hand none.

So, later in 2019. He decided to move back to Nigeria fully, to set up his own label.

Because he thought; If he’s making this much money alone, what if he had up to 5 artistes under him, all making money equally. It would mean more money for him, more money for them, and everyone will be happy.

— He bought an apartment on the Island and Marlian Music was born.

30th December 2019, Marlian Fest at Eko Hote. He announced Zinoleesky, Cblack and Mohbad. After which, Mohbad went back to his fathers church for crossover service in Ikorodu.

After that day, his relationship with Mohbad grew. Seems he was even closer to Mohbad than Zino, because according to the screenshots, Mohbad had more grit, had more fire for the hustle.

So they were always talking, with Mohbad sharing ideas, and him critiquing and making suggestions.

Consequently, Imole released “Komajensun” his first track under Marlian Music. Then Marlian Anthem, then Ponmo with NM & Lil Kesh. Until his breakthrough hit in 2020 — KPK ft Rexxie.

7th June 2020: Naira Marley discovered that Mohbad was taking ICE. With “that his crack ice king friend.” (Assumed to be Bella Shmurda.)

So, he advised Mohbad to stop taking it. Told him the demerits. Mohbad said, he’s taking crack because of stress.

30th July, Mohbad said he had found a manager. — Tunde. NM accepted it, but suggested that, the in-house manager would just guide Tunde. That was how Tunde joined the Marlian.

(He is not or was never Naira Marley’s brother. Naira has a biological brother who’s also Tunde. So, the propagandist alleged to be Wunmi and Iyabo Ojo capitalized on this. Because NM has called Tunde his brother.)

So, Tunde wanted 25% of all deals. NM refused. Because the standard rate for managers is 10% max. He told Mohbad, he relayed to Tunde, Tunde accepted. And that’s how Tunde became his manager.

16th November 2020 Mohbad got admitted for malaria and typhoid at a clinic opposite Marlian Music.

Naira Marley said this to counter the narrative that, Mohbad told them not to take him to the hospital and asked them to call a nurse to treat him at home because he hated hospital.

December 21st, 2021: Seeing that Mohbad had started making money. NM asked him to send his account number to receive his 50 percents. Interestingly, Mohbad sent one Zenith Bank account; Adesanya Justina Olajumoke.

Naira Marley agreed, because he believed Mohbad knew what he was doing. So he kept sending money to the account. Until he later told NM that it was his mom’s account, meanwhile it was his Wife’s Mothers Account.

Let me take that again. Mohbad was making money, the money was getting paid to his in-law’s account. While lying to NM that it was his mothers account.

From December 2020 to July 2021. Wunmi’s mom was collecting Mohbad’s earnings. Apparently, to help him manage it, at the behest of Wunmi. Who later got mad at NM and Mohbad, when Naira Marley forced Mohbad to open his own account. He obliged.

July 2021, Mohbad opened his own account with Stanbic Bank. Took charge of his wealth. Wunmi fought him over it. Four months later, November 13th, Mohbad got his first car, a Lexus Jeep.

Now everything is about to change.

February 21st, 2022 NDLEA raided Marlian House. Found drugs, MDMA (Molly) etc arrested Zino, Cblack, Mohbad and a few others. But Zino challenged the officers and then he felt the damages. Driving him into anxiety and panic attack.

This was when he made the viral video, video insulting and accusing everyone.

Saying Zino, Naira Marley, Wunmi, NM’s wife, Tunde (his manager) were all against him, that if he died they should be held responsible especially Naira Marley.

Meanwhile, NM wasn’t in the country, and the Zino he was claiming snitched on him, was also arrested. So🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ ..

Anyways, Naira Marley had to end his trip and immediately return to Nigeria to bail them and get them treated. Yet, Mohbad still kept calling names of people to hold responsible, particularly Zino for snitching on him. This was on February 21st.

Days later after he was stable. He begged Naira Marley and the entire crew for forgiveness. NM forgave him, March 2nd they all went out to eat, after his parents had also come to apologize to NM.

March 9th 2022, he texted NM who wasn’t in the country at the time. Saying, his heart was heavy and he doesn’t feel good about himself. NM wasn’t in Nigeria. So they scheduled a meeting for when he got back.

March 22nd, they spoke, Mohbad said he wanted to leave the Marlian House for his mental health. Which NM believes is a trauma from the NDLEA incident. NM agreed. Yet, Mohbad couldn’t really explain what was wrong with him. He just wanted to leave first.

4 days later, 26th March NM was in Puerto Rico for a show. He got a call that Mohbad tried to jump off the window, tried to kill himself, tried to take sniper.

So NM found time and called him, to ask him what’s wrong. Mohbad said his dad, mom, his wife, his wife’s mom are all stressing him, that they judge him too much, that they don’t like him, nobody likes him anymore.

NM asked him to ignore them and return to the Marlian house for a bit if they are all stressing him in his house. Mohbad started apologizing again for the NDLEA incident.

NM told him it’s all in the past, that he should just be fine. That if anything happens to Mohbad, the public will blame him because of the video, so he should please not kill himself.

PS: after the NDLEA issue, Mohbad still released two songs under Marlian in 2022. And released some of Marlian recorded song when he left Marlian.

28th March: After this call, NM phoned Zino and co to go pick him from his house, take him out and make him happy. They did, Zino had a show that night, Mohbad went with them there and they all had fun, he was happy again. [He added the video of this]

They got back home and taught Mohbad would stay with them for a bit before going back home to his problems. — He didn’t.

Later that night, he received a call from home and suddenly said he wanted to go home.

— Seems Wunmi was controlling him and she was the epicenter of his mental breakdown. So it seems from NM’s explanations. Or.. perhaps, his PTSD from the NDLEA incident still lingered strongly. Either ways, he still went back to his stress zone.

Next day, 29th March Naira Marley got back to Nigeria and met him to discuss and talk him out of the suicide.

Then he said again that his family don’t like him, they judge him, that he changed since he joined Marlian, that now he is forgetting his phone password, forgetting music lyrics at shows, and he can’t focus.

2hrs after talking to Mohbad. NM spoke to his parents and explained that even though he’s not okay, they don’t have to keep reminding him, they should take it easy with him. This was the video that leaked that, blogs portrayed as Mohbad’s family kneeling to beg Naira. — Iyabo Ojo

30th June, Mohbad came to Naira’s listening part and performed.

4th October, Mohbad had an issue with his Manager Tunde. How it started?

In their WhatsApp group chat, Mohbad was asking Naira for his money, Asked for show monies to be paid to him directly and clients to contact him for bookings. Naira told him that, he’s an artiste he can’t be talking to clients directly, that that’s the job of his manager, Tunde.

Mohbad then said, he’s tired of Tunde because he’s lazy, and hasn’t been doing anything. Tunde replied on the GC, slammed Mohbad, said Mohbad doesn’t direct people to him, that there have never a time he asked him to do something that he didn’t do.

Then Mohbad insulted him. Tunde said Mohbad is just pissed about the 10%. Suggested that Mohbad prefered his wife doing his management and how can everyone working with him be bad? And he’s always good. That, he’s not like him that his wife is controlling.

Mohbad got furious and challenged him to a face to face fight. All of this was still on the 4th of October.

5th October, Mohbad went to Marlian house with boys and weapons looking for Tunde. Fortunately Tunde wasn’t around, Naira Marley asked him to go home and relax, because he was drunk and high.

As he left, unfortunately, Tunde came back, they met and clashed. Serious fight. It was this fight that birthed Mohbad’s series of tweets saying, he went to Marlian house to see Naira Marley and Naira Marley ordered boys to beat him.

Meanwhile Naira says the opposite happened. That he was the one who came to fight. But here’s the twist.

According to NM, he said the whole thing was looking unreal. Felt like it was staged to break him out of the Marlian contract.

Because as the drama was going on, it didn’t take time, Mohbad already posted a nearly composed thread on his twitter page narrating what happened, and for someone who has known Mohbad for a long time. The tweets were didn’t look like what he’d write.

They were written to push and agenda against him and in minutes the twisted story was already on all blogs and influencers pages. — IYABO OJO’s hand work, as alleged by VeryDarkMan.

Like clockwork. Exactly 2 days later. 7th October, Mohbad’s lawyers sent in a contract termination letter and requested for his payment records. Which have always been transparent since the beginning, available to Mohbad too. So it wasn’t an issue when they asked.

Naira Marley felt bad initially. But didn’t take time, accepted to release Mohbad. Because, yes he’s talented. But! The baggage with him were too much. So he let him go and accepted that God just used him to elevate Mohbad.

December 30th Mohbad withdrew $72k from their distributor. And disappeared. If you were following you’d know that, this was supposed to be 50%—50%. Yet Mohbad didn’t give Marlian music their own 50%. So, Marlian held back his royalties to balance up their own money he refused to give them.

That day October 5th when Mohbad came to attack Tunde, was the last day Naira Marley ever saw Mohbad, till today.

September 12th he Naira Marley was with Zino in Amsterdam and heard Mohbad had died. Went to Instablog and saw that he died of ear infections, went to twitter and Boom Boom Boom! Everyone is saying he killed Mohbad and sharing videos from 2021, 2022 and painting it as new, in an ochestrated manner. — Iyabo Ojo

They had to cut their trip short because they were overwhelmed.

As the media was saying Naira Marly bullied Mohbad because he wanted to leave the Marlians, but he didn’t want him to leave. So he bullied him and siezed all the money Mohbad made. — Naira said he was shocked seeing all these.

Then the Sam Larry video further caused more damage. Although he didn’t speak much on SL’s part.

But he said, after that video, nobody was hurt, that they all went to eat after that video.

Otherwise, atleast someone in the crew should have said something.

Apparently, SL’s cameo was because Mohbad was owing money. Now we don’t know if it’s the 50% from $72k or the %10 he has long refused to pay Tunde until he left Malians Records 

Yet like clock work again. Suddenly Mohbad filed a petition to police reporting Sam Larry for bullying and harrasment and for breaking their ₦8M camera after the attack.

Sam Larry honored the invitation, then they called Mohbad to come and present his case, bring the camera they broke etc. Till date, Mohbad and his lawyers never showed up. So, Sam Larry countered sued.

All of these forced them to believe there is a puppet hand somewhere pulling the strings. Because Mohbad died on the 12th and 4days later, his team issued a statement and their major concern was his catalog and royalties ., claimed to be held by Naira Marley. Not justice for Mohbad.

While everyone wanted to know what’s wrong, how he died, his team were serving them legal papers demanding catalog and royalties.

Naira Marley is wondering; Wunmi is always the only one with him at times he’d had his mental issues. She even admitted that, they took Mohbad to psychiatric hospitals for treatment yet he didn’t get better.

But somehow, they’ve successfully shifted the focus from his death and cause of death to Naira Marley and SL bullying Mohbad. When the police should have arrested everyone in the building when he died.

Instead it is him that was in Amsterdam and SL that was in Dubai/Kenya that the police arrested for bullying, with zero evidence. Yet siezed their passports, kept them in prison for two months claiming they were protecting them.

According to Naira Marley if it were in a working country, all the people around Mohbad, all would be in police custody. Not the nurse who now seems to have been the fall guy.

In conclusion: Mohbad had mental issues triggered by the horror of NDLEA raid and someone definitely was coordinating the media to twist narratives. As VDM alleged, this person is Iyabo Ojo, due to her personal problems with Naira Marley.

Unless Naira Marley doctored these videos, images, time stamps and phone calls. If not, he’s innocent, Wunmi, Her Mom and Iyabo Ojo have more to tell the media.
