The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with the death of fast-rising singer Adesina Afeez, popularly known as Destiny Boy.

Police authorities said the matter has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, for an in-depth probe.

In a statement released on Monday, the command disclosed that investigations had commenced immediately after the incident was reported. According to the police, one individual is currently in custody while detectives continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding the 22-year-old artiste’s death.

Destiny Boy’s passing became public on Sunday after disturbing videos showing his lifeless body being taken to a mortuary surfaced online, triggering widespread mourning and intense speculation across social media over what led to his death.
