Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has expressed frustration over what she described as nonstop and overwhelming attention from men on social media, revealing that her private messages are packed with thousands of marriage proposals.
The actress took to Instagram to vent about the situation, saying the constant influx of messages has turned her inboxes across different platforms into chaos. She explained that she wakes up daily to fresh waves of unsolicited messages from men declaring romantic interest.
According to Nkechi, efforts to regain control of her accounts have failed, even after repeatedly blocking people and attempting to adjust her privacy settings. She said the attention has become exhausting and emotionally draining.
Although she confirmed that she is currently single, the actress stressed that she is not searching for a relationship, yet her WhatsApp and social media accounts remain flooded with messages.
“I have tried everything I can to change my number on Facebook but I don’t know. I don’t know which video is trending; I wake up to thousands of messages different kinds of men. I don block tire. I am single, but I no dey find man; I’m not searching.
“My WhatsApp is a mess. I have other 5,000 messages from different kinds of species called men. I am tired. How many be my body wey over 5,000 men wan marry me…”
Her outburst has since sparked reactions online, with many users debating the pressures celebrities face on social media and the difficulty of maintaining privacy in the public eye.
