Gospel singer Tope Alabi has celebrated a major family milestone following the birth of her first grandchild.

Taking to social media, Alabi shared a tender photo of herself holding the newborn, expressing her gratitude to God for the joyful addition. “I’m eternally grateful to God for this joyful addition to my family. Indeed Ayomiku, ayo si kun inu mi,” she wrote.

She praised her daughter, Ayomiku Alabi, for her growth and strength as a mother, saying, “My beautiful, strong girl @the_ayomikualabi_ I am so proud of the woman and mother you have become.”

Welcoming her grandchild, Alabi described the moment as long-awaited and said being a grandmother has become her favourite role. “Welcome to the world, my darling grandchild, I have dreamt of holding you for so long and now I’m showering you with kisses as I watch you grow. Being your grandma is my new favourite role,” she added.

She concluded by congratulating the Bantale family, celebrating the joy the new arrival has brought to their lives.
