Popular American streamer iShowSpeed has once again ignited conversations around the famous jollof rice rivalry following another food tasting during his ongoing tour across Africa.

While in Liberia, the streamer was served Liberian jollof rice and shared his honest thoughts with fans watching online. He described the dish as tasty and worthy of praise, but stopped short of placing it above his favourite so far.

“I will rate it 8/10, I think it’s good, but I’ll rate Nigeria’s over it.”

The comment triggered immediate reactions from people around him, with some clearly unhappy about his conclusion. Still, Speed stood firm on his opinion, insisting that Nigerian jollof remains his number one choice.

The moment adds to earlier scenes from his trip where he also sampled Senegalese jollof and similarly ranked Nigeria’s version higher, further fueling the friendly but intense debate over which country truly makes the best jollof rice.
