Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola’s memoir, “Making It Big: Lessons from a Life in Business,” has claimed the top spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers list in the Starting a Business category, earning an average five-star rating from readers.
Released on August 18, the 286-page book quickly rose to 4th place in the Business, Biographies, and Memoirs category just a day after its launch.
In the memoir, Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power PLC and FirstHoldCo PLC, recounts his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a billionaire by age 41.
On Amazon, the book surpassed titles like Steven Bartlett’s “The Diary of a CEO: The 33 Laws of Business and Life” (2nd), Simon Squibb’s “What’s Your Dream?: Find Your Passion, Love Your Work and Build a Richer Life” (3rd), and Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
“Making It Big” has also received praise from notable industry leaders, including WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina, and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
