Fans and housemates of Big Brother Naija Season 10 were left shocked on Monday afternoon when it appeared that Dede and Joanna had been evicted—only for it to be revealed as a clever prank.

The suspense kicked off when the iconic red telephone rang inside the house, signaling another of Big Brother’s unpredictable directives.

Dede answered the call and was startled to hear Ebuka on the line, giving her just 10 seconds to pick a fellow housemate to join her in a “surprise.”

She quickly selected Joanna, and both were then instructed to pack their belongings and leave the house immediately, leaving other housemates bewildered and viewers convinced they were gone.

The twist, however, turned out to be a ruse, as it was later revealed that Dede and Joanna had been moved to a secret room to await Big Brother’s next instructions.
