Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have taken their long-standing beef straight to X, serving up the kind of raw hip hop chaos that has fans gagging, tweeting, and firmly picking sides.

Seven years after their infamous Fashion Week clash, the tension is alive and well—this time with platinum plaques, bird emojis, and some of the wildest ABC rhymes the timeline has ever seen.

It all started when Cardi celebrated her second studio album Am I The Drama? going 2x Platinum. She followed the RIAA win with another announcement: her Little Miss Drama tour kicking off at TD Coliseum.

Nicki responded with a cryptic post—a photo of an eagle in flight. Fans quickly clocked the shade, pointing out the not-so-subtle dig at Cardi’s album cover, which features a crow perched on her heels. The Barbz spun it as “big bird energy” coming to snatch Cardi’s crow, and chaos erupted.

From there, the feud spiraled. Nicki reposted fan edits, dropped a bizarre image of zombie-eyed penguins, and Cardi fired off sharp tweets:

“The power I have.. make these btches come out of rehab everytime. Go to your fcking room.”
“Cocaine Barbie.”

Nicki clapped back with bars about surgeries and Rico beefs, while Cardi doubled down with direct shots. Soon, the back-and-forth descended into what the Internet now calls the “alphabet war.”

Nicki:
“Abcdefgeeeee SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE tell rat & tell J ZEEEEE RICO FRAUD & PERJURY.”

Cardi:
“ABCDEFG Your man have to snatch PUSSY Pussy taste like honey comb Your bro be touching 12 year olds.”

The delivery was messy, hilarious, and instantly meme-worthy.

Cardi eventually shifted gears from clowning to cold facts, reminding Nicki their careers don’t sit on the same level:

“You been in the game like 16 years… you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake…those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t.”

She backed it up, too. Am I The Drama? debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving 200,000 units with 146 million streams—making Cardi one of only two female rappers to notch back-to-back No. 1 albums.

The beef may be unserious, but the numbers aren’t.
