A law firm, D.I. Aiyedun & Co., has submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police, accusing former Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo of raping a 13-year-old girl, Khadija Muhammad, and attempting to rape her 16-year-old sister, Fatima Muhammad, in Abuja.
The petition also alleges that Abbo criminally intimidated the two minors and their parents.
The petition, directed to the IGP and the Deputy Commissioner of Police – Gender at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), describes disturbing incidents of abuse and psychological trauma allegedly perpetrated by Abbo and his associates.
The primary assault took place on June 29, 2025, at Abbo’s residence in Katampe Extension, Abuja.
According to the petition, 17-year-old Nafisa Mohammed Chigli lured Khadija to the location, where Abbo allegedly overpowered her, used baby oil, and attempted to forcibly penetrate her.
He reportedly cleaned himself with a white cloth afterward. Khadija informed her father, who did not act on the report.
In a similar incident, Fatima was allegedly lured to Abbo’s residence by Zara Muhammad Chigli.
Abbo attempted to assault her, but she escaped before the act was completed, though the petition notes this as part of a pattern of predatory behavior.
Following the petition, Abbo surrendered to the FCID in Abuja. The girls’ parents told SaharaReporters that former Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed “Binani” visited their home to urge them to keep the matter quiet.
They also claimed Abbo sent money to the girls’ father to hush the allegations. As of the latest update, Abbo was still detained at the FCID.
