Former President Barack Obama celebrated 33 years of marriage with Michelle Obama, sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a rare selfie of the couple.
In his post, Barack wrote: “The best decision I ever made was marrying you, Michelle Obama. For 33 years, I've admired your strength, grace, and determination—and the fact that you look so good doing it all. Happy anniversary!”
The photo shows Michelle radiant in a strapless black feathered dress, complemented by gold earrings and red lipstick, while Barack looks sharp in a black suit.
Michelle responded with her own tribute: “We've been on quite the journey over the last 33 years—and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said ‘I do.’ Happy anniversary, @BarackObama!”
The couple first met in 1989 at the Sidley Austin law firm in Chicago, where Michelle served as Barack’s mentor.
Their relationship blossomed, culminating in their marriage in 1992. Over the years, they have raised two daughters, Malia and Sasha, and supported each other through the challenges of public life.
