Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has rewarded Mrs. Marbel Ijeoma Duaka, a long-serving healthcare worker from Anambra State, with a fully furnished two-bedroom house in recognition of her exceptional dedication and service.
Mrs. Duaka has worked at the Mafa Primary Healthcare Centre for over 24 years, remaining steadfast even during the height of the Boko Haram insurgency when many fled the area.
Governor Zulum commended her courage, loyalty, and compassion, noting that she continued to serve the people of Mafa despite the dangers. He also revealed that Mrs. Duaka had provided medical care to his own family members, including his mother.
As an additional gesture of gratitude, the governor granted automatic employment to Mrs. Duaka’s son, Anthony, a Banking and Finance graduate of Kashim Ibrahim University, Maiduguri, in appreciation of the family’s selfless service to the state.
