Ghana has officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup, joining the growing list of nations confirmed for next year’s tournament.

The Black Stars were already on the verge of qualification before hosting Comoros on Sunday.

Under coach Otto Addo, Ghana led Group I by three points over Madagascar, with a superior goal difference heading into the match.

After a goalless first half, Mohammed Kudus broke the deadlock in the second half, finishing a slick team move orchestrated by Thomas Partey to secure the win and confirm Ghana’s place at the World Cup.

Madagascar ended the group stage as runners-up with 19 points, while Mali finished third with 18 points.
