Fake Flavour, a Nigerian entertainer, has responded to claims that he impersonates award-winning highlife star Flavour N’abania, insisting he never intended to deceive fans.
In a video, he said his stage name stems from his admiration for Flavour. He added that his performance fees, ranging between ₦700,000 and ₦800,000, are far below what the real Flavour charges, and that clients are aware he is not the original artist.
“I just love him,” he said, emphasizing he does not pretend to be Flavour for financial gain. “Flavour would never perform for that amount. People who book me know I’m doing my own thing, and I’m not pretending to be him to get money.”
