A Nigerian mother has narrated how her young son developed cerebral palsy after a pastor allegedly mishandled him during a “deliverance” session.
In a video shared by @Ekaf TV on TikTok, the heartbroken woman recounted that her son, who was only one year and four months old at the time, was waiting for prayers at her husband’s church when the tragic incident occurred.
According to her, the pastor claimed that the child had a “great destiny” but was being held back by spiritual forces. He then insisted on conducting an immediate deliverance and, in the process, reportedly lifted the boy and turned him upside down.
Shortly afterward, the baby began convulsing uncontrollably. Medical tests later revealed that the child had suffered a brain injury, leading to cerebral palsy — a permanent condition that impairs muscle control and movement.
The woman added that her husband, who was an active member of the church, left her when their son turned two and has since remarried.
Her emotional testimony has stirred outrage across social media, with many Nigerians condemning reckless religious practices that endanger lives under the guise of spiritual healing.
