Music mogul Don Jazzy has pledged N20 million to back the Tech Access Project, an initiative designed to provide 10,000 laptops to Nigerian youths.
The project was launched through an open letter by Ayilola Ayotomiwa, who appealed to Don Jazzy to support efforts to empower young Nigerians in technology, design, music production, and digital entrepreneurship. Ayotomiwa highlighted the critical role laptops play in equipping youths for success in today’s digital world.
“Our vision is simple but deeply powerful: to give young Nigerians, especially those passionate about tech, design, music production, and digital entrepreneurship, the tools they need to build their future. In today’s digital world, a laptop isn’t just a gadget, it’s a lifeline,” Ayotomiwa wrote.
He added, “You’ve always been one of the biggest believers in young people, from mentoring creatives and supporting startups to constantly showing love to your fans. With your influence and guidance, we can open doors for thousands of Nigerian youths to learn, create, and earn from their talents.”
Don Jazzy praised the initiative but acknowledged the scale of the project, stating he could contribute only N20 million alongside a social media repost, while hoping others would join to help achieve the goal.
“Bro, I hail o. Your initiative is commendable. But sir, 10,000 laptops is not beans. At this time, I can only afford to support with N20 million and a repost. Hopefully, some other well-meaning Nigerians can help achieve the goal,” he wrote.
