Abati is trending because yesterday Reuben Abati suggested Peter Obi will never be President, because the Northerners are still furious at the Igbos over the Civil War.

So, pitching a 1-term Presidency to the North and serving food at parties all reeks desperation and would never work. 

Moreover, even if he got it, the igbos will not allow him do just 1-term, because the last time Igbos were ruled the country was during Aguiyi Ironsi’s time (1966 January-1966 July) and Nnamzi Azikiwe (1963-1966)

In essence, Nigerians should vote for competence and ability and leave tribe and religion out of it.

He’s simply saying Nigeria is not ready for an Igbo president due to the ethnic division from the Nzeogwu coup and until it is addressed, there would be no progress. So the only way Obi can rule is as a VP at most.

Although his position wasn’t defined. But APC supporters agreed with him while Obidients thought it was just another tribal rhetoric from Abati, who’s publicly perceived as a bigot after a some sessions in the past.
