Imisi’s mother has finally spoken out, sharing an emotional account of how she has allegedly been treated by her daughter since she became a BBNaija winner.
In a new video, she introduced herself as the biological mother of the reality star and revealed how difficult life has been for her since Imisi’s rise to fame.
“I am the biological mother of Imisi,” she said. “I know I might be bad, but it is God that judges. I am not educated, neither am I rich, but I thank God for supporting Imisi. I went to visit my younger sister in Ajah — she was the one who gave me food and these clothes I’m wearing. To everyone blasting me that I didn’t take care of Imisi, I say thank you, but it’s always good to know the full story before judging.”
She expressed sadness over being constantly criticized and accused of being a bad mother despite her efforts to support her daughter’s success.
“As a mother, I was running around for Imisi to win so she could lift me out of poverty, yet people say I’m not a good mum. Everyone is cursing me. I had to move out of where I was living. My own daughter said she hates me and can’t stand me. Is it really that bad? I have a lot to tell the world,” she lamented.
The mother further revealed that she felt excluded from significant moments in her daughter’s life, including the presentation of her BBNaija prizes.
“I wasn’t informed about the day she would receive her gifts from Big Brother until around 4pm. They just called me to dress up, as if she was the one buying clothes for me before. If you were in my shoes, how would you feel?” she asked tearfully.
Her revelation has sparked widespread reactions online, as some social media users accused her of trying to gain sympathy after allegedly abandoning Imisi years ago. According to rumors, she kicked her daughter out of the house when she was just 12 years old, a decision that forced the reality star to endure years of hardship and trauma before fame.
The situation has now turned into a public family rift, with many calling for reconciliation and healing. While Imisi’s mother maintains that she only wants peace and understanding, others believe the strained relationship is a painful reminder of unresolved wounds from the past.
What was once a story of triumph and celebration for Imisi has now become an emotional tale of family pain and bitterness in the spotlight.
