President Bola Tinubu has ordered a full-scale security operation across forests in Kwara State, with the directive also covering Kebbi and Niger States, following a recent surge in kidnappings and terrorist attacks.
The President has tasked the Air Force with intensifying aerial surveillance over remote forested areas believed to be hideouts for terrorists.
According to Sunday Dare, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication, the operation will involve 24-hour monitoring and close coordination with ground security teams.
“This order equally applies to the Kebbi and Niger states axis, where many victims are expected to be rescued,” the statement said.
Communities in the affected regions have been urged to provide timely information about suspicious movements or activities to assist the security forces in their efforts.
