Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has confirmed that his session with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) went smoothly.
He shared the update on his X account on Saturday, saying he was released after the meeting and has been scheduled for a follow-up discussion.
“In keeping with my promise to keep Nigerians informed about my EFCC invitation, I thank Allah for His guidance. The meeting was successful, and I have been released, with another appointment set, as the truth behind the false allegations against me continues to unfold,” Malami wrote.
The EFCC had invited him over issues related to his time in office, though the agency has not disclosed details of the matters under investigation.
Malami had earlier assured that he would honour the invitation, stressing his commitment to accountability and transparency.
