A senior lecturer at Kogi State University, Anyigba, Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, has di€d during an alleged s€xual encounter with a 22-year-old 200-level student of the institution.

The incident occurred at a hotel in Anyigba, kogi state and was later reported to the police by the hotel manager.

The student, identified as Gloria Samuel, was taken into custody and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, SP William Ovye Aya, described it as unfortunate and said an autopsy has been conducted to determine the cause of death.
