Rita Daniels loses her bid to lead the Actors Guild of Nigeria as the guild’s National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, emerged winner of the presidential election held on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Yakubu will take over from the outgoing president, Emeka Rollas, following the keenly contested poll that drew wide attention within the Nollywood industry.
