Retired police officers in Abuja took to the streets on Monday morning, demanding payment of their entitlements.

Tinubu, pay police,” they chorused as they marched in their numbers on Monday morning at the Police Headquarters, Abuja.

Holding different banners and placards, the protesters marched to the National Assembly complex, chanting solidarity songs.

Activists like Omoyele Sowore and popular Hausa skit maker Bello Dangallanci joined the protest, demanding that the retired officers be paid their entitlements.

But unfortunately the police whose welfare are been demanded are the one been used to disrupt the protest

However sowore speaking during the protest say the illegal inspector general of Nigeria police whose tenure was supposed to expire and still occuping the position divert fund ment for the police for this private use call all a well paid police officer

He also alleged that the police sent sent by the inspectors of police stole his meta ryban glass
