The singer explained that he had an Army friend sit in the back seat of his car while filming, as a protective measure. At the time, Rema was sporting dreadlocks, which he said heightened his concern about possible encounters with SARS operatives.

“The fear of SARS made me put my Army friend at the back seat of my car in my freestyle video because I’m on dread,” he said, highlighting the risks artists sometimes face to stay safe while creating content.
