Rights lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has stepped in to obtain the freedom of Seun, a young man detained in Lagos after a social media confrontation with influencer Alabi Lawrence.

Seun’s arrest followed allegations that he made offensive comments online concerning Lawrence’s wife and her fertility challenges. The development reportedly left his family shaken and distressed.

Adeyanju later shared photographs of Seun with his parents after his release, highlighting the emotional impact the arrest had on them. “Just secured the release of Lawrence’s victim, Seun, from the police station in Lagos. Seun’s mum and dad in the picture were traumatized by the arrest,”

The intervention has since attracted public praise, with many social media users criticizing the arrest as excessive and commending Adeyanju for ensuring Seun’s release.
