Catholic priest and spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has shared a testimony of divine intervention in the life of a young boy who has lived with paralysis from birth.
Speaking during a service, Mbaka recounted the story of the child, the son of his senior sister’s family, who was born with a neurological disorder that left his spinal system unable to support his legs. According to medical reports, the condition meant the boy would never walk.
The testimony we have is that the senior sister, the sister who married out, has a son with dad. This small boy here from birth has been lame,” Mbaka said, pointing to the family members present. “He has a neurologic disorder and the spinal system medically will not be able to carry his legs.”
For verification, Mbaka introduced the child’s father, who is both husband to his senior sister and father of the boy. He explained that the boy had been a long-term patient at Parkland Hospital, where doctors had declared the case beyond medical correction.
Look at the father here to the son and husband of father’s sister for verification purposes. This small boy is a patient at Parkland Hospital. The fathers are there,” he explained.
He further noted that the boy’s grandmother—his own mother—had previously shared with him the struggles the family faced in caring for the child, who could neither walk nor stand on his own.
According to Mbaka, the testimony was not to highlight the severity of the child’s condition but to glorify God for sustaining his life despite grim medical reports. He reminded the congregation that what appears impossible with man remains possible with God.
