Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has debunked reports that actor Ibrahim Chatta lost his biological son.

The confusion began after Chatta shared an emotional post on Instagram, which many interpreted as a tribute to his biological child. His colleagues and fans, including Opeyemi, initially sent condolences over the supposed loss.

However, Opeyemi later clarified that Chatta was mourning his godson, not his biological son.

“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she explained.

She went on to pray for the repose of the deceased’s soul, noting that the period has been deeply emotional for everyone close to the family.
