Anambra State has continued to worsen in security under the administration of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, sparking concern among Ndi Anambra and opposition voices.
Anambrarians lament that instead of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to address the growing cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, violent and insecurity attacks across communities and within the state , the government has been more focused on silencing critics and engaging in political battles.
Allegations have also emerged that individuals with questionable backgrounds have been installed into local security known aa Agunechemba security outfit or Udogachi, a move Naijauser describe as worsening the situation rather than resolving it. Naijauser argue that entrusting community safety to people with criminal tendencies further exposes innocent citizens to danger.
Critics maintain that Governor Soludo’s administration has shown more energy in responding to opposition statements instead of implementing concrete security strategies. Community leaders and civil society organizations are calling for urgent reforms and genuine commitment to restoring peace, warning that Anambra risks further deterioration if insecurity is not decisively tackled.
