The White House has dismissed claims that an alleged letter from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein is genuine, stating the president “did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”
US lawmakers recently released the letter, which includes a drawing of a woman’s body, as part of a “birthday book” presented to Epstein in 2003.
The book was among a collection of documents unveiled by a US House committee, including Epstein’s will and his personal address book, which listed names of royalty, celebrities, models, and politicians worldwide.
Also featured in the birthday book is a note from Lord Peter Mandelson, the UK Ambassador to the US at the time, who referred to Epstein as “my best pal.”
Last month, the House Oversight Committee issued a legal summons for Epstein’s estate executors to produce several documents, including the birthday book.
The disclosure comes amid rising pressure on Trump, including from his own supporters and within the Republican Party, to provide greater transparency regarding the investigations into Epstein.
