Nigeria’s sprint sensation, Tobi Amusan, has advanced to the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships after dominating her semifinal heat.

Amusan recorded a swift 12.36 seconds (-0.2) to claim victory, edging out the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who finished second in 12.45s, and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who came third in 12.51s.

The 27-year-old world record holder, who set a remarkable 12.12s at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, appeared in full control throughout the race, leading from the start.

Her strong semifinal showing has heightened expectations ahead of the final, where she will aim to reclaim the world title she won in 2022 and maintain her status as one of the sport’s most dominant hurdlers.
