West Ham have dismissed manager Graham Potter after a poor run of form.

Appointed in January on a two-and-a-half-year contract to replace Julen Lopetegui, Potter departs the club after less than a year in charge.

In a statement, the club said: "West Ham United can confirm that Head Coach Graham Potter has left the Club. Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched expectations, and the Board of Directors believe that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team's position in the Premier League as soon as possible."

The decision comes ahead of West Ham’s Monday night clash with Everton, managed by former Hammers boss David Moyes.

West Ham have had a difficult start to the 2025/26 season, earning just three points from five games. Their solitary win came against Nottingham Forest, while four defeats have left them 19th in the table, above only winless Wolves.

Potter leaves with six wins from 23 Premier League matches, having guided the club to a 14th-place finish last season.
