Nigerian singer Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilare, popularly known as Qdot, was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home early Sunday morning, sparking concern among fans and colleagues.

The incident, which happened around 2:30 a.m., has renewed conversations about the country’s growing insecurity.

According to eyewitnesses and close associates, a gang of masked, heavily armed men broke into Qdot’s residence, holding him and his household hostage during the frightening raid. The robbers allegedly made away with mobile phones, laptops, and other equipment vital to his music production. They also forced transfers from his bank accounts and took control of his social media handles, prompting fears of impersonation and misuse.

No casualties were reported, but those present during the invasion were left deeply shaken.

Qdot has not released a statement, but close associates confirmed he is safe though emotionally distressed. Fans and fellow entertainers have expressed relief that he survived the attack but remain worried about the breach of his accounts and financial losses.

Police and security operatives have reportedly launched an investigation, with early indications suggesting the robbery may have been carried out by individuals with insider knowledge of Qdot’s activities and finances.
