Nigerian comedian DeeOne has kicked off a 40-hour stand-up comedy marathon in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest performance.

The comedian, whose real name is Aderombi Adedayo Martin, received official approval from Guinness World Records for the attempt, which began at midnight on Thursday, October 2, in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Updating fans during the marathon, DeeOne shared: “39 hours in. We are closing in on the world record. We are also closer to our goal.”
