OAP Dotun has expressed his admiration for Arise TV anchor Rufai Oseni’s confrontational interview style, saying it better serves Nigeria compared to Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye.

On X (formerly Twitter), Dotun wrote: “I’ll rather be Rufai. This is what Nigeria needs now. When they steal, dem no dey calm do am. He is within his ethics but uses a different method. His method, I love. Werey lo fin wo werey.”

Dotun highlighted Oseni’s fearless approach to holding public officials accountable, noting that while he stays within ethical boundaries, his method of questioning is refreshingly direct. In contrast, Okinbaloye’s calm and composed style, though professional, is seen by some as less forceful in challenging politicians.

The comments underline a wider discussion in Nigerian media about the role of journalists in demanding accountability, and how different interviewing styles appeal to audiences seeking transparency and bold reporting.
