Kunle Hamilton, a shepherd of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), has issued a caution to church members following Imisi’s win in Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10.
In a video shared online, Hamilton expressed agreement with critics who argue that reality shows like BBNaija are unsuitable for Christians. He said, “The controversy surrounding Imisi's participation in this reality show comes from people who believe it’s not a place for Christians. Honestly, I agree 100%.”
He warned young Celestians against participating in similar reality shows, noting that while Imisi managed to maintain her reputation, others may not be so fortunate. “How can a reality show, where a man is not just ogling but engaging in inappropriate acts, be considered suitable for Christians?” he asked.
Hamilton also criticized clergy members who publicly congratulated Imisi, cautioning that such gestures could encourage young people to see participation in these shows as acceptable. He stressed that while private congratulations are fine, public praise sends the wrong message.
He encouraged Imisi to remain focused, uphold her Christian values, and serve as an example for other young Celestians, emphasizing that maintaining her principles could help her preserve both her faith and her success.
