The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has a new leader as CP Dantawaye Miller officially took office as the 34th Commissioner of Police, succeeding CP Ajao Adewale, who was redeployed by Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.
Miller resumed duty on Friday, October 17, 2025, and pledged to strengthen community policing and enhance existing security structures to safeguard residents across the FCT.
SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police spokesperson, said the new commissioner emphasized the importance of collaboration with residents, urging continued public support in maintaining peace and order.
“CP Miller has pledged to deepen community-police partnerships and strengthen security frameworks to ensure the safety of all residents within the Federal Capital Territory,” Adeh stated.
