Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko has released a video accusing his wife Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy Daniels, of repeatedly invading his home and harassing his family. According to Nwoko, the footage shows Sammy acting aggressively toward his children and domestic staff, particularly when Nwoko was not present.
In a detailed statement, Nwoko outlined the financial and personal support he had provided to Regina’s family over the years. He said he sponsored Sammy through his final two years at the University of Ekpoma, purchased his musical instruments, rented and furnished an apartment for him in Abuja, and bought a house in Asaba for Regina’s use prior to their marriage. He added that he regularly provided allowances to various family members, including transferring ₦125 million to Regina in the past two years alone.
Nwoko explained that Regina began rehabilitation after he noticed troubling behavior linked to substance dependence, including staying awake for extended periods and eating excessively. Doctors overseeing her treatment instructed that certain individuals, particularly those enabling her drug use, be restricted from visiting. Nwoko alleges that Sammy, his girlfriend NK, and some of Regina’s friends, including Destiny and Sonia Uche Montana, repeatedly defied these rules by forcing their way into the home and supplying Regina with the very substances she was being treated for.
He also claimed that Sammy and his group verbally assaulted police officers stationed at the house to enforce the restricted access, creating a hostile environment for both staff and security personnel.
Nwoko recounted an incident four weeks ago where he found Regina in his room early in the morning, clearly under the influence. She told him Sammy’s girlfriend was present, despite being banned from the house. When Nwoko asked the woman to leave, Sammy reportedly arrived shortly after, shouting, threatening, and demanding a confrontation. Security had to remove him from the compound.
According to Nwoko, Regina often became hostile toward staff and security whenever she wanted to leave the house without his presence, shouting, threatening, and insisting on going out despite the medical restrictions meant to support her recovery.
He emphasized that he neither drinks nor smokes and described the behavior of Sammy and his associates as destructive and unacceptable. Nwoko maintained that the video he released serves as proof of the repeated harassment and disruption his family endured and reinforced that his primary concern is Regina’s safety and successful rehabilitation.
