Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has dismissed his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party, choosing instead to take a swipe at the faction behind the move. He reacted through a short but pointed message on his X account.
“The living can’t be found among the dead. The dead don’t expel the living.”
With that statement, Fayose made it clear he doesn’t recognize the authority of the group that announced his removal. He described the current PDP structure as politically lifeless, implying that a party he considers “dead” lacks the capacity to expel someone who is still active and influential.
His reaction has since generated widespread discussion, as many observers see his message as a sign that he remains unfazed and believes his political relevance remains untouched despite the party’s decision.
