The exchange began when a Davido fan page posted:
“When you’re ready to apologize and beg Davido publicly, your song will enter No 1.”

Ruger immediately responded, questioning the basis of the claim:
“And did Davido tell you I did anything wrong to him?”

In a follow-up post, the singer dismissed rumours of any tension, insisting that he and Davido share mutual respect.

He wrote:
“I love Davido and I know he loves me too. People on his team still repost my stuff. I will never believe this agenda that he doesn’t f* with me unless he says it to my face or publicly. But if him talk am, everywhere go first blur sha.”**
