Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch has been crowned Miss Universe 2025.

The 74th edition of the international pageant took place on Thursday, November 20, at Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, where Bosch emerged victorious among contestants from over 130 countries and territories. This year’s theme was “The Power of Love.”

Bosch’s win comes after a series of controversies surrounding the Miss Universe Organization. On November 4, a viral livestream showed pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil allegedly scolding Bosch for refusing to participate in a photo shoot intended for contestants’ social media. Bosch denied the claims, but Itsaragrisil continued to reprimand her, prompting several other contestants to leave the room in support as Bosch walked out.

Last year, Victoria Kjær Theilvig made history as the first Danish winner of Miss Universe at the 73rd edition of the competition.
