Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has publicly rebuked a social media user who insulted her by calling her “Olomo Kan,” a Yoruba phrase meaning “woman with one child.”
She shared a screenshot of the man’s comment on her Instagram page and addressed him directly, writing: “Uncle, I don’t know you. You woke up and typed ‘OLOMO KAN’ on my page. I don’t understand what you mean, but I want my followers to bless you with curse… Onigba omo, e ma sesin ni. Amin. You still dey bully Olomo kan abi, eni jeere. Amin. That stardom, you will get, but it will cause you trouble and will not give you rest.”
Wumi’s response, which combined admonishment and a stern warning, quickly went viral. Fans praised her for standing her ground and confronting the insult, with many lauding her for discouraging online bullying. While some debated the intensity of her reply, most agreed that personal attacks like this are unacceptable.
