Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde, widely known as K1 De-Ultimate, has officially submitted his royal lineage form to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House as part of his pursuit of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland throne.

The submission follows a directive from the ruling house requiring all aspirants to provide detailed ancestral records to verify their membership in the Fusengbuwa family. Only confirmed descendants are eligible to participate in the selection process.

Abdulateef Owoyemi, chairman of the ruling house and former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, stressed that tracing one’s genealogy back seven generations is mandatory to ensure that only legitimate family members can contest the throne.

Ayinde had previously expressed his interest in the stool in a December 3, 2025 letter, describing himself as a “bonafide son” of the Fusengbuwa ruling house. He also affirmed that his candidacy aligns with Ijebu customary laws and Ogun State Chieftaincy regulations. The letter gained widespread attention on social media shortly after it was made public.

Owoyemi confirmed that the Olori Omooba of Ijebuland instructed all contenders to complete the lineage form. Once verified, candidates can proceed to the next stage of submitting their expression of interest. Although the application window officially closed on December 5, K1 De-Ultimate was granted an extension until December 10 to submit his documents.

He added that the ruling house welcomes aspirants whose influence can enhance the throne, provided that only genuine members of the Fusengbuwa family are allowed to participate, safeguarding the integrity of the lineage.
