The Super Eagles of Nigeria have kept their 38th position in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings.
Released on Monday, the update shows no change from November, when Nigeria had 1,502 points, as the team has not played any competitive matches since.
Currently in Morocco for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Nigeria ranks behind Africa’s top teams: Morocco (11th), Senegal (19th), Algeria (34th), and Egypt (35th). Other African nations in the top 10 on the continent include Tunisia (41st), Côte d’Ivoire (42nd), Mali (53rd), DR Congo (56th), and Cameroon (57th).
Globally, Spain remains number one after reclaiming the top spot from Argentina in September 2025. The rest of the world’s top 10 includes England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Croatia, with France holding third place.
