Senior Pastor Dr. Chris Okafor has reportedly filed a lawsuit against social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, over allegations of cyber harassment and defamation.
According to the suit, Okafor’s legal team accused VeryDarkMan and an individual identified as Miss Chi of spreading false and damaging narratives about the pastor across social media platforms. The actions were described as cyber incitement, cyberbullying, cyber harassment, cyberstalking, criminal defamation and malicious impersonation.
In a statement released by the pastor’s representatives, the claims linked to Miss Chi were dismissed as baseless and opportunistic, with the legal team alleging that the accusations were designed to exploit Dr Okafor’s reputation.

It is no longer news that this act of criminal stalking, cybercrime and libelous article articles against our client Senior pastor Dr Chris Okafor started by one miss Doris Ogala and cohorts. However, our interests in this press briefing is on her and her laughable and gold-digging story, calculated to exploit our client.”
The legal move is said to be connected to earlier online attacks allegedly initiated by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and others, which the pastor’s camp claims have harmed his public image.
As of the time of this report, VeryDarkMan and other individuals mentioned in the lawsuit have not publicly reacted to the legal action.
